While the Creek is closed for the Christmas Break, we are running two special themed camps!
Dec. 18-22 is “Advent Adventures” and features a week of Christmas themed STEAM activities, art, and skill builders. We’ll be making Peppermint Oobleck, learning about Candy Cane Science, and conducting “The Great Pine Cone Experiment” while working on small motor skills, patterning, matching, writing and counting.
Jan 2-5 is “Ice, Ice Baby” and we’ll be learning about the animals that live in the arctic and how they’ve been made especially to be in the cold and snow. We’ll be learning about how penguins stay dry, how polar bears stay warm, and about hibernation through fun STEAM activities. Art includes ice cube painting and snow painting and we’ll be working on matching skills, large motor control with ‘penguin eggs’ and small motor development and engineering with marshmallows!
