At The Creek, we believe in having an academic curriculum taught at a developmentally appropriate level. We encourage children to learn as they’re ready, introducing academic concepts in ways that they don’t interpret as ‘work’ – instead, we love to have fun!
Our experienced teachers take the curriculum provided and supplement it with their own goodies, tailored to their individual class’ needs and interests.
In addition to regular academics, we also have in-class Bible time.
Preschoolers: Our three-year olds use Mother Goose Time Curriculum which creatively weaves together art, music, storytelling, math games and science experiments around a monthly theme. We play, explore and learn about different concepts related to their expanding world and engage all five senses across multiple learning domains for a fun experience the children love.
Pre-Kindergarten Students: Our four-year-old program uses Zoo Phonics, a great program that incorporates kinesthetic movement into the alphabet learning experience. With Zoo Phonics, children learn not only the letter shapes and writing them, but explore the science, math, art, music and other studies incorporated in this whole-learning experience.
Transitional Kindergarten & Kindergarten: This class is for children are age eligible for kindergarten this fall. Our Kindergartners are expected to meet and exceed state standards of education, just like public school children. However, our ABEKA curriculum also has a Christian component, bringing more than reading, writing, math, social studies, and science into our children’s lives.
Your Kindergarten student receives a quality kindergarten education with the added benefit of small class size and half day instruction.
We also recommend this class as a transitional Kindergarten experience for our Pre-K graduates who are getting an extra year at the Creek before going to public school Kindergarten.
