We’ve been having a lot of fun getting ready for spring!
March is full of many special things, so please make sure to mark your calendars!
Registration for Fall is Open to the Public! We are getting ready for next year already, so if you know you’re returning, please make sure you fill out and turn in your registration form for next year so that we can guarantee your child a spot. Several classes are already half (or more) full! Early registration discount ends March 27.

Chancy & Bruce Kindergarten Readiness Screening
For our Pre-K and Kindergarten students, Chancy Bruce Educational Resources will be on campus March 19 & 20 for Kindergarten/First Grade assessment testing. This is a non-academic screening for school readiness – you can learn more about their testing program here: http://www.chancyandbruce.com/ Sign ups are due by March March 16. If you need a sign-up form, please stop in at the office. The cost for this screening is $50.
The parent meeting to talk about the results and process will be held April 8 at 6:30pm here on campus. Those with younger preschool age children who are eligible for screening next year are invited to attend the meeting as well, as it is full of information from these experts about the kindergarten readiness developmental process and skill sets.
Please note that the parent meeting is adults only and child care will not be provided. The meeting runs about an hour.
Easter Chapels: 11:40am on March 19 & 20 – on Thursday the Blue Room will be leading chapel and on Friday the Orange Room will lead! We will be learning about “The Sad Day and the Happy Day” and what Jesus did for each one of us. No bunnies, just God’s love!
Open House: March 25 from 6-7:30pm
The classrooms will be open for visiting and seeing all your child’s hard work and we will have dinner available for purchase as part of our security gate fundraiser!
You may not see as much artwork going home this month, and it may seem like your child is keeping some secrets from you about what’s going on in the classroom… but that’s because Open House is such a BIG DEAL that we like to have some surprises for you!
On this night we will also be having a raffle for some great prizes – each classroom is putting together a prize basket that goes with their Open House theme. That night, at closing ceremonies, we will draw the winners! All proceeds go to the security gates fundraiser. See your child’s teacher for details on how you can help make the raffle baskets awesome!
March 26 & 27 – Easter Parties 11:15am – Come join us as we celebrate that “He is Risen Indeed” with a potluck party in the classrooms. See your child’s teacher to sign up.
Easter and Holy Week Events:
Seder Dinner – Wednesday April 1
What is a Seder? It is a ceremonial meal that commemorates the Jews’ Exodus from Egypt and includes readings of the Haggadah and eating of symbolic foods, observed in Jewish homes on the first nights of Passover. We are invited to Join River47 and Orange County Christian Fellowship for a Seder dinner. The cost is $5 for adults (pay at the door) and children are free.
Maundy Thursday Service – Thursday April 2 at 7pm
Maundy Thursday is the Christian Holy Day, falling on the Thursday before Easter. It commemorates the Maundy and Last Supper of Jesus Christ with the Apostles.
Easter Sunday – April 5 at 10am
River47 will be having a special Easter Service and the children’s program (with Egg Hunt!) will be led by the Creek’s very own Kacie Andrews!
